It has been such a pleasure teaching “One” at the end of each Broadway Bootcamp session. You still have time to learn the number, as I will be teaching it through August 10th. That means there are 12 more chances to get to Dance at the Dome and learn the original Broadway choreography to the finale section of this wonderful number.
I created this dance fitness class to put together all of the training elements that have helped me and my clients get stronger, leaner, and more flexible while having fun and training safely. At age 53, I am so happy to know that effective fitness training doesn’t have to hurt, or involve extreme exercises. By learning the right modification of each movement for your level of experience and ability, you can get results without being sore for a week: I promise.
We begin each class with simple movement patterns, dance steps, and gentle isolations. Then we do our resistance training with bodyweight, kettlebells, and light weights. Next, we move to the barre for more mobility and extension. Interval technique comes next, then flexibility, and finally choreography that is broken down step by step.
Each student gets suggested exercises to do at home to guarantee results, and there is a grocery shopping guide as well for students who want to experience Sugar Freedom.
The best part is discovering just how much progress you can make at any age. So many of my students are pleasantly surprised at what they can accomplish by attending Broadway Bootcamp and practicing at home. Take a look at the video to see what the choreography is like. Don’t worry, we wear athletic shoes or jazz shoes in class: no character heels needed!
